#MyKalsomStory by Hasya Haizal

Yesterday, one of our directors from the EIC was featured! Today is the turn for us to read the Kalsom experience from one of our PKMC directors, Hasya.

Read her story below:

My older sister volunteered for The Kalsom Movement two years in a row during her uni years in the summer and every time she came back from the camp, she would share how amazing her time there was. I just knew I had to experience it for myself when the time came.

Sure enough, my first Kalsom camp back in 2019 went beyond all my expectations. The lessons, laughs, jokes, tears (lots of ‘em) throughout the camp just compelled me to sign up for more because the experience is truly like no other. I went there in hopes of impacting someone else’s life but I came out more moved by the beneficiaries’ progress, by their effort, by their ideas and opinions and the list goes on and on. Not to forget the friendships I’ve made along the way! It really was a continuous session of learning from each other and at the end of the day, you’ll definitely want to come back for more.

I genuinely made one of the best decisions of my life by volunteering for this movement and I highly recommend experiencing it firsthand for yourself so what’re you waiting for? Apply now!
