The Kalsom Movement would like to proudly congratulate our beloved Trustee, Mr. Mohd Zulikhwan Ayub for being named as one of the finalists for the Queen’s Young Leader Award 2018 by The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Trust and Royal Commonwealth Society UK. Although was not selected for the award, he received an offer to be one of the elite Associate Fellowship of the Royal Commonwealth Society UK.
The prestigious Queen’s Young Leader Award recognises and celebrates exceptional people aged 18-29 from across the Commonwealth, who are taking initiative in their communities and using their abilities to transform lives. The work they are undertaking to improve lives across a diverse extent of issues, ranging from empowering marginalized groups to ending the stigma of mental health.
Outstanding in all the requirements, Mr. Zulikhwan an inspiring young man, is a co-founder and the current Founding Managing Director of SCVenture, an empowerment agency focusing on CSR development and advisory, grassroot intervention as well as social cause amplification services. Recently on 16th December 2017, SCVenture organized GrahaSeniMY, a benefit concert for single mothers featuring Khai Bahar, Nastia and Ismail Izzani at Universiti Putra Malaysia.
In terms of achievements in The Kalsom Movement, Mr. Zulikhwan has contributed plenty during his time as former Director (2013-2014) and former President (2014-2015). Projek Kalsom was expanded and rebranded from being a collaborative effort with the United Kingdom Education Centre (UKEC) to The Kalsom Movement, a boutique and independent student-led charity movement. The Kalsom Movement was also endorsed by the Malaysian Book of Records for the longest running student-led motivational camp in the country during his time. Under his administration, a few new initiatives were also introduced during the summer programmes and The Kalsom Movement established a one-year long monitoring plan with a sustainable plan.
